Grounding.

Firstly sit comfortably on a chair, feet firmly on the ground and relax.
Visualise roots growing out of your feet, like the roots of a tree, see them going through the earths layers, deeper and deeper in to the ground, through the layers that make up the earth, through the soil, the clay,the sand all the way to the centre of the earth (the core).

See the centre of the earth as Mother Earth and visualise this as a wise old tree, tie your roots to the tree knowing you are secure and safe and let yourself go knowing you are not going to float away.

Surround yourself with blue light for grounding by visualising it all around you and know you are grounded and safe in Mother Earth's arms. 

Creating and cleansing your sacred space.

Spiritual work , prayer , or meditation performed in an atmosphere of sanctity and peace will enhance the effectiveness of the spiritual practice. Using the same area creates the right atmosphere. Just as we have a specific place to sleep and eat we should also have a specific area for ritual and other spiritual practices. Such a space establishes a powerful force field for your intended purpose.

It is easier to become relaxed in a familiar setting. Habitual use of a sacred place creates and attracts the necessary spiritual forces for your success. A space is created in your environment that is in harmony with your energy and intentions.

Privacy is necessary for self-observation, mindfulness training and self-examination. Preparing a place physically helps you establish needed mental space if you are to effectively explore your inner world. You feel safe when you are within your own space. You can retreat to your sanctuary whenever the need arises.

Making physical preparations also help you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It helps bridge the connection between the conscious and sub-conscious mind toward the same goal. If it is not possible to have an entire room, an area can be delegated for your spiritual practice. Find a comfortable space where you will not be disturbed. It should be free from noise and traffic.

When you prepare a space ritually you set the mood. You become an active participant instead of an outside voyeur. You empower yourself through action instead of remaining passive and uninvolved. When you prepare a space ritually you are asking the Creator to bless the area and make it appropriate for relaxation, ritual work , prayer and meditation.

Prior to use the space or room should be physically cleaned. It should then be spiritually cleansed, blessed and dedicated for your intended purpose. The area should be used for no other purpose. When you are frustrated, depressed or just feeling helpless over a particular situation sit in your sacred space. Call on the forces of God to assist, heal and bless you. Do not allow your fears to enter and sabotage your goals and objectives. Address the negative feeling or energy as a entity and tell it to leave you immediately and it will do so.

Your sacred space should also make positive use of the physical senses. The atmosphere can be enhanced by the use of color, symbols, music, incense, candles, oils , pictures, flowers, etc. All of these tools can act as trigger mechanisms which will help you remember your goals and objects. They can also help discipline the mind in a positive direction. And, of course your sacred space may be out side. If you feel more comfortable in nature, choose a space that makes you feel happy and safe .

Cleansing:

These are especially good measures to take when moving into a new place, beginning
ritual activities in a new space, or to release bad feelings when an inhabitant has been sick or has died.
To cleanse a single room - on top of a newspaper, set a blue candle. Surround with a circle of salt.
Burn a little sage in the room. Light the candle, making sure it won't tip over.
Close the door and let the candle burn down.
When finished, take newspaper, salt, and candle leaving and bury far from your home.
To cleanse a house - select four corners. set four candles: north - black, east - white, south -
purple or dark red, west - blue.
Sprinkle a little salt at each doorway and window. Burn sage in each room, paying special
attention to windows and doors. Strew fragrant herbs (rosemary, basil, lavender, others you like or consult a reference) and sweep them up with the salt.
Cast the swept herbs out your front door. You may want to sweep them off your porch so they aren't on your property anymore.

Inner Light Meditation.

This is a meditation for connecting you with your Inner Spirit.... your essence or core Self. It uses the light that is already within you as an object of focus. It's a fairly simple meditation, but is quite powerful, and potentially very deep.

1. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed.

2. Look at the "screen" that fills the space behind your closed eyelids.

3. There will be particles, images, or patterns of light on this screen. (Consider anything that is not pure darkness to be a form of light.) Gently focus your attention on the light.

4. Don't try to create or interpret images. Don't attempt to focus clearly. Simply look at the light with relaxed attention.

5. If you feel as though your consciousness is shifting, or you are slipping into a dreamlike state, allow it to happen. Whatever you experience is ok.

6. If you find you have drifted off into your thoughts, simply bring your attention back to the light.

DEVELOPING YOUR PSYCHIC ABILITIES:

Your Psychic Aura

Different psychics propose various theories about pyschic energy and how it works, but it is generally agreed that the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of your being combine to generate your psychic force, which exists in and around your body as an energy field known as the aura.

Your psychic force can interact with the energy fields of other things. Generally this means living things, such as plants or people because inanimate objects have little or no aura; exceptions to this include crystals, which can be used to store your aura's energy. You could try to use your aura to boost or charge up other aura's; this is a healing technique found in many spiritual traditions such as reiki. You can also use your aura to influence other living things such as pets and plants, helping them to stay healthy.

Developing your aura step-by-step

Use this meditation exercise to boost the power of your aura and learn how to channel it.

1. Sit in a quiet and comfortable place where you can relax.

2. Close your eyes and clear your mind. Spend a few minutes focusing on something simple and neutral, such as the image of a black square or circle.

3. Try to regulate your breathing and begin to empty your mind of all conscious thoughts. Imagine yourself moving out of your body and looking at your meditating form as if observing the event from an outside, distant perspective. Imagine the aura surrounding your body. Visualise it in detail, slowly letting the colours, contours and densities of the image come to you of their own accord.

4. When you have explored this image mentally, start to visualise your aura increasing in intensity, brightness and size; if you feel attracted to particular colours, visualise your aura becoming gradually suffused with these.

5. Use this simple visualisation exercise at least once every day and you'll soon notice the increase in your psychic powers and abilities.

6. When you are skilled at this practise, try using your aura to boost plant growth, soothe pets or charge crystals with psychic energy.

To test your auric perception

See for yourself whether your awareness of your aura is functioning at a higher level with this simple test.

1. Get a friend to arrange 3 empty, unmarked containers in a row, place a crystal (which you have previously handled) in 1 of them and cover all 3 containers.

2. Now use your hands (hover above containers) and your mind's eye to see if you can tell which container the crystal is in.

3. Repeat the experiment several times and see if you can beat the odds.

Precognitive Powers

Precognition and the ability to tell the future are rare gifts usually thought to be possessed by only a few such as Nostradamus or the biblical prophets. There is some intriguing evidence, however, that suggests that ordinary people may be acting on some forms of precognition in their everyday lives. One study, for instance, showed that trains involved in crashes carried fewer passengers- suggesting, perhaps, that some people subconsciously knew to avoid travelling that day.

You have probably experienced moments when you have an inkling how things are going to turn out, what the outcome of a decision would be or how someone would behave in a given situation. What if you stoppped dismissing these flashes of intuition and started paying attention to them?

Practise your precognition step-by-step

1. On Sunday, take a piece of paper and make a table with 2 columns. In the 1st write all of the days of the week and in the 2nd column write all of your predictions. For each day you are going to try and predict what the weather is going to be like. By doing this exercise you will learn to train yourself to trust your intuition. Being able to repdice the weather has other practical benefits to, if you manage to hone your skills you will never be caught in the rain unawares!

2. Find a place where you will not be disturbed and sit down quietly with your prediction table. Take each day individually and begin by imagining what you would normally be doing- maybe there are some times that you set aside for your washing or for meeting your friends. Fix the scene in your mind's eye and then try to fill all the blanks in your minds eye- if you're doing your washing are you hanging it outside because it's such a beautiful day? If you're meeting with your friends are you going to the cinema because its raining?

3. Try to picture what you are wearing in each of the scenes as this will be an excellent indicator of what the weather is like. If you've got on your favourite t-shirt and jeans it's likely the weather for the day will be very warm, but if you're wearing a mac the forecast is not so good!

4. Let any other images flow into your mind. When you get used to trying this method, you will become skilled at allowing images to develop of their own accord. After allowing about 5 minutes of visualisation, write down your impressions for each day. What were you wearing? What were you doing? What was the weather like? Were there lots of shadows in your vision? Can you remember any of the smells?

5. Make your predictions based on what your impressions were from your visualisations exercise. If you want to reallt push your precognitive abilities you could try to predict the temperature and the strength of the wind.

6. The following week check your impressions against what the weather was really like- how accurate were your predictions?

7. Try again every week, until you become more skilled at trusting your precognitive powers and learn to develop your intuition.

Telekinesis

Unless you are a psychic prodigy with abilities to equal the claims of Uri Geller, it's unlikely you'll ever be able to use Telekinesis to open doors, levitate or save you from having to change the tv manually! Still, you might be able to subtly influence the movement of objects on a smaller scale. For instance, research on influencing the roll of a dice suggests it may be possible to increase the odds of rolling a number in your favour.

Taking this to the next step, perhaps you could nudge a ball in flight, helping a tennis player to gain that extra millimetre, or a footballer to produce that extra swerve on the ball that beats the goalkeeper. There is no evidence to suggest that this can be done, but there is still much to learn about Telekinesis.

Developing your Telekinesis step-by-step

1. Take a die and find a quiet room where you can concentrate without being disturbed. Find yourself a flat surface where you'll be able to roll the die and record results.

2. Begin with a number between 1 and 6; you can pick any number but let's say you choose 5. Focus on this number in your mind's eye, visualise it as an object and imagine your die hitting that number when you roll it.

3. Throw the die 10 times, each time focusing on the number. Note down the number of times you managed to influence the die to land on this number.

4. Once you have finished your throws, move on to the next number, for example, 6. Again imagine the die rolling in your mind's eye and picture it landing on the number you have selected. Roll the die 10 times, noting your successful throws. Repeat this for the 4 numbers left on the die.

5. Use this chart to check whether your results are simply what you would expect by chance or whether you have significantly beaten the odds. If you've done much worse than expected by chance, this may suggest negative telekinetic influence.

6. Remember, practise makes perfect. The more you try this experiment, the better your abilities should become and your telekinetic skills should gradually progress. As you become more used to to the set-up of your experiment, practise getting into the optimum state of mind for psychic success. Clear your mind of distracting thoughts and concentrate on the die alone.

Telepathy

All of us depend on the ability to read other peoples minds in our everyday lives. This skill depends on reading between the lines when people talk, listening to the tones of their voice and reading the plethora of non-verbal signals they give off, from facial expressions to their stance, to the size of their pupils.

Imagine if you could supplement this with paranormal gorms of mind-reading- tuning into the thoughts and feelings of others. You would be better placed to negotiate the social maze of life, anticipating problems, calming anxieties, gauging reactions and plannig responses. If someone was mad at you, you would know why; if it was a bad time to talk to someone, you could avoid them, and if someone was receptive, you could strike when the iron was hot. There would be benefits at work, home and play.

Practising Telepathy step-by-step

1. To begin with you & a friend need to collect 6 pictures that appeal to you- try magazine photos of your favourite film stars or footballers. You need to duplicate all the images so that there are identical pairs. Number each set on the back so that identical images share the same numbers.

2. Have your sender sit in 1 room, while you sit in the neighbouring room within earshot. Both of you should have pens and scorecards with a table like this:

Above the table each of you should write your names, whether you are the sender of receiver and date the the exercise.

3. The sender should select, at random, 1 of the pictures, and then mark on her form which image she has selected. She now attempts to send the picture to you, the receiver, by concentrating on it and attempting to transmit the information mentally. To mark the start of the trial, the sender should say something neutral such as "begin" . The sender should try visualising not just the image but also thngs associated with it. Meanwhile you the receiver should attempt to relax and empty your mind, allowing images, thoughts, feelinggs and impressions to come and go.

4. After 1 minute the sender should signal the end of the trial by saying "choose". You now decide which of the 6 numbered pictures your friend was trying to 'send'. When you have selected 1, mark it's number on your scoreboard.

5. Repeat the process 5 more times. afterwards compare your scorecards and see how many times you chose correctly. If there is no telepathic transmission in effect & you were simply choosing at random, you would expect to have a 1 in 6 chance of being correct. If in fact you scored more than 3 out of 6 you've beaten the odds- potentially a sign that you and your friend share a psychic bond!
